Yothu Yindi (Yolngu for Child & Mother) is an Australian band with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal members. A Primaeval members are from either a Gove Peninsula in the Northern Territory's Arnhem Land. A band attempts to combine aspects of two musical cultures. Their healthy varies from either traditional Primal songs which are then literally hundreds to thousands of years old to modern pop & rock songs. Within nigh a lot their songs it try to blend a average instruments that come associated by using pop/rock elastic, like guitars & drums, sustaining a traditional didgeridoo and clapsticks. It as well adapted traditional dance to accompany their music. Inside a broader feel it promote the require for reciprocal respect & understanding in the coming together of different cultures.
It own established a Yothu Yindi Foundation. A foundation is the producer of the annual Garma Festival celebrating Yolgnu culture.
